As a barn staff member at Hidden Valley Farms, home of Converse University’s Equestrian Team in Inman, SC, I worked full days every Saturday and Sunday to help manage the daily care of over 15 horses. My responsibilities included feeding breakfast, lunch, and dinner; turning horses in and out; cleaning stalls; preparing and distributing supplements and medications; filling hay nets; and maintaining clean, full water sources. I also bathed horses, helped load the trailer for competitions, and ensured the barn remained clean and organized. This role required dedication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic, and it allowed me to build meaningful connections with both the horses and the barn community.

As a team member at Everyday Gourmet in Camden, SC, I worked primarily as a line cook preparing sandwiches, salads, and arranging custom charcuterie boards. As a Student Intern in the Marketing Department at Mid Carolina Credit Union in Lugoff, SC, I supported the development of promotional materials and member communications. I designed sponsor flyers, billboards, pamphlets, and automated voice messaging hold recordings, while also assisting with planning and setup for community and member events. This opportunity followed two semesters of Graphic Communications courses at my local technical college, and I was offered the internship during my third semester based on my performance and design skills. The experience allowed me to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world marketing environment and gain hands-on experience.
