Hi, I am Madi!
Here is a little about me

I’m a senior Graphic Communications major at Clemson University with a passion for design, print, and all things creative.
Before transferring to Clemson in 2022, I began my college journey at Converse University, where I studied Marketing and Studio Art. I was also involved with the men's basketball and equestrian teams, managing their social media pages, competing on the IHSA equestrian team, and working at both the campus library and the Converse equestrian barn. Although it was bittersweet to leave Converse, pursuing Graphic Communications at Clemson has been one of the best decisions I have made.
My interest in design started in high school, where I took three semesters of Graphic Communications at my local technical college. I also interned in the marketing department of a local credit union, where I got to design billboards, pamphlets, and posters. Seeing my designs around my hometown sparked something in me that still drives my work today.
Very early into my time at Clemson, I interned at the Sonoco Institute. At the time, I had no idea what my major truly involved and had never heard of flexography. That hands-on experience changed everything. I quickly found myself fascinated by the print process and fell in love with the print industry. Soon after, I joined Clemson’s TAGA course and attended the TAGA conference, where we won Best Technically Written Journal. The following year, I served as TAGA president for both semesters. I helped lead the creation and production of our journal and was proud to see our team win the Attendees’ Choice Award at the next conference.
One of the things I love most about this industry is how welcoming and supportive it is. There is so much room for growth, learning, and collaboration.
Right now, I’m focused on finishing my degree and finding my next exciting opportunity. I hope to work somewhere that values education, conference involvement, and mentorship. I want to help show the next generation just how dynamic and meaningful the print and design world can be.
Outside of class and work, I spend time with my pets, who are a huge part of my life. I have two cats, Strawberry and Arlo, and a horse named Sebastian. They each have their own personality and bring so much joy to my day-to-day. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to bring them with me through college, and I look forward to whatever comes next with them by my side.
